The works gathered in the UNalgorithmus series are united by their progressive, critical and forward-looking approach to contemporary technologies. Workshops were offered by the female artists, giving the public the opportunity to take a closer look at addressed themes.

Jinran Ha gave an introduction to the programming of kinetic motorization through Arduino. Using a kit, participants learned how to program a diode lamp to turn on and off. They learned how Arduino works, saw examples of what types of artwork and results are possible, and then learned how to program the signal to turn a lamp on and off.

Jinran Ha gab eine Einführung in die Programmierung von kinetischer Motorisierung mittels Arduino. Anhand eines Bausatzes lernten die Teilnehmer, wie man eine Dioden lampe so programmiert, dass sie sich ein- und ausschaltet. Sie lernten, wie Arduino funktioniert, sahen Beispiele dafür, welche Arten von Kunstwerken und Ergebnissen möglich sind, und lernten dann, wie man das Signal zum Ein- und Ausschalten einer Lampe programmiert.

Kyoco +Nico Taniyama
Ausgehend von Ähnlichkeiten in der wissenschaftlichen Visualisierung von Hirnaktivität (EEG Brain-Activity-Map) und Klimaprozessen (CO2-Heatmaps) machten Kyoco + Nico Taniyama in Installationen und Datenvisualisierungen wissenschaftliche, politische und soziale Fragestellungen anschaulich und erlebbar. Das Publikum hatte die Möglichkeit, die EEG-Gehirnaktivität Kartierung live auszuprobieren und mit den Künstlern ins Gespräch zu kommen.
Based on similarities in the scientific visualizations of neuro-activity (EEG Brain-Activity-Map) and climate processes (CO2-Heatmaps), Kyoco + Nico Taniyama made scientific, political and social questions clear and tangible in installations and data visualizations. The public had the opportunity to try out the live EEG brain activity mapping, and engaged in conversation with the artists.
